  • Two Latin American leading companies have come together to offer airport passengers in Quito a new way to shop and enjoy a quality experience while waiting for their flight.
  • Shops such as Attenza Dutty Free and others will be able to activate their sales through the app, which offers technological innovation to guarantee the health of its users.

 

Rappi, the Latin American super online shopping and delivery app, expands its services and proposes a new way of fast and secure shopping for users of the Mariscal Sucre International Airport. In cooperation with Quiport, operator and administrator of Quito International Airport, Rappi offers the passengers of this air terminal the possibility of optimizing their time while taking care of their health, purchasing from the at airport stores directly from the app. In a first phase, users will simply have to pick up their orders at the shop while inn a second stage, a delivery mode will be available so that users can receive their purchases comfortably at boarding gates.

Airport commercial offering included through Rappi are: Attenza Duty Free, República del Cacao, Flor de Liz, The Legendary Hat Company and Travel Stores in the national commercial area. Diners members will have the option to receive their Duty-Free purchases while they wait comfortably in the terminal's pre-boarding lounges or at VIP lounges.

 

This association also aims to reactivate the shops at the Quito International Airport, promoting standards such as the necessary social distancing. “Given the progressive return of operations at Quito International Airport, we join forces to promote and promote sales that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to provide a safe and quick option for frequent travelers to make their purchases in advance, through our platform, in stores such as the Duty-Free which will allow them to pick up their order without exposing themselves to any type of infection", expressed Alejandro Freund, CEO of Rappi Ecuador.

 

This alliance commenced on September 15 and seeks to strengthen existing operators within the Airport. In the 'Quito International Airport' button, users will be able to browse and buy products, shop in advance through the app and collect them without queuing or receive them in the VIP lounge of the Airport.
