The morning of the fifth of June was special for Quito’s American Airlines passengers destined to Miami. The airline, in an effort to increase its supply of seats between Quito and destinations in the US, began operations that morning with a Boeing 767-300. Passengers were pleasantly greeted at the airport holdrooms with breakfast and a souvenir given by Quiport and American Airlines.

As of that morning American Airlines flights are served by this aircraft, with a capacity of 218 people, which represents an offer of 40 more seats in relation to the Boeing 757 which was previously used.

This is an important step for the Quito Airport, which is constantly working to increase the connectivity between Ecuador’s capital and the world. The traditional arch of water with which the plane was sent off, marked the end of the event and the beginning of the season.
