The beginning of summer also marks the beginning of the high season for air travel worldwide. This phenomenon is no stranger to our country and demand for seats for flights between Quito and the United States increases. This fact has prompted United Airlines to increase frequencies between Houston and our capital city.

As of the fourth of July, United has decided to add two weekly flights to the seven it regularly operates, on Saturdays and Sundays until September 6th. These flights will be carried out using either the Boeing 737-700 or the 737-800, with capacity for 118 and 157 passengers respectively.

Quiport and United organized a special event with the passengers of the special inaugural flight which served as a kick-off for the summer season.

This is a new milestone in the connectivity of the Mariscal Sucre International Airport that is offering more and better options for travel to more than 30 destinations in Ecuador and the world.
